Ingolf Pompe was born in 1962, lives in Stuttgart und works as a freelance photographer. After he finished his art studies at the academy in Stuttgart and his photography studies at the Exeter College of Art&Design in England, he worked in advertising in Paris, London and Stuttgart with a main focus on companies like Daimler Chrysler, Bayer, Sparkassenverband and EnBW. Since his first report about Russian state prisons in 1993, fifty other travel reports have followed. Ingolf has published his work in Magazines such as Merian, Lufthansa Magazine, Max, DM Euro, Focus, Geo Saison and Abenteuer&Reisen etc. His coffee-table books are appearing at Südwest publishing house, Bucher, HB-Publisher, Stürtz and Pro Sport publishing house.
