Ingrid Firmhofer is a photojournalist living in Munich, Germany. Dance and music are her great passions - thus she was awarded with the first place at the International Photography Award in the category of music. She won the award with a series of photos showing the erotic hip-shaking of the samba dancers, the harmony of the salsa dancers, the melancholy and temperament of flamenco and the joy of the gipsy dancers. Her photographs are regularly found in worldwide music publications such as fRoots, Songlines, Blue Rhythm, Matices, Riddim and Vibrations as well as on calenders and CD covers. Ingrid is also working on assignements for international travel magazines such as GEO, MERIAN, Lufthansa Magazine and WWF, and up to now, she has published five books on Munich.
