Joris was born in Breda, Netherlands in 1969. He finished his studies of linguistics in Leiden, Netherlands. Since 1989 he lives in the U.d.S.S.R. (today Russia). Joris worked as a photo correspondent for Dutch, Swedish and Norwegian newspapers and since the birth of the advertising in Russia in 1993 he is a freelance advertising photographer in Moscow. His main emphasis belongs to food, cars, beer, jewellery and stillife, e.g. for Renault, Range Rover, Unilever, Nestle, Coca Cola, P&G, Lada.
